Laura is an award winning, Los Angeles based, cinematographer who not only strives to create beautiful images, but to initiate a shared feeling from the audience through the visual imagery. Her reasoning behind her cinematography is always to service the story and to aid the viewer in experiencing whatever emotion(s) the piece is trying to evoke.
She lensed the 2019 SXSW Jury Award Winner, ‘Other Side of the Box’ and has 7 feature films to her name. Her narrative work is currently streaming on various platforms, including HBO Max, Apple TV+, Prime Video, and Hulu. Her commercial client list includes Hyundai, Nissan, Wells Fargo, Sephora, Jo Malone London, Cointreau, Camarena, Plaid, Pinterest, Herbal Essences, RoseSkinCo, Cynosure Lasers, MuscleTech, Six Star Pro Nutrition, and Mad Rabbit.
Her latest feature, ‘Foibles,’ is currently in post production and expected to release in 2024. One of her most recent shorts, ‘Bonding,’ has 42 official film festival selections, 22 nominations, and 17 award wins, of which Laura has won 3 Best Cinematography awards with another 5 nominations for her work.
She holds a B.A. in Film & Television Production from Loyola Marymount University and was the recipient of the Ian Conner Cinematography Award upon graduating.
Laura is available to travel and owns a full ARRI Alexa Mini camera package. She looks to be a part of projects that seek to accomplish an elevated visual style. When she’s not shooting, she enjoys camera operating and playing around with looks in DaVinci Resolve.
