Laura Jansen is an award winning cinematographer based out of Los Angeles with a decade of experience.
She strives not only to create beautiful and captivating work, but to initiate a shared feeling from the audience, one that her carefully crafted images help elicit. She dives into each project with enthusiasm and focus in order to help bring forth the director’s vision. Laura enjoys moving between the narrative, commercial, and documentary spaces.
She holds a B.A. in Film & Television Production from Loyola Marymount University and received the Ian Conner Cinematography Award upon graduation. One of her most recent narratives, Bonding, has garnered her 14 Best Cinematography nominations with 6 wins across its festival circuit. Another notable piece of her work includes the SXSW Jury Award Winner for Best Midnight short, Other Side of the Box.
Laura owns a complete Alexa Mini camera package and is available to travel. She has lensed 7 feature films and has been a member of The International Collective of Female Cinematographers (The ICFC) since 2020.
